Kichidenji Temple

The Emperor Tenchi founded the temple and the Buddhist priest Eshin rebuilt it in 988. The Two Story Pagoda and the main statue of Amida Nyorai are designated as Important Cultural Assets . This temple is also called gPokkuri-derah or gPokkuri-ojo-derah. (gPokkurih means a good death without long illness, and gojoh means peaceful death in Japanese.) So it has many visitors.
